How much Christianity is hidden in British society?

A BBC report on how much Christianity is hidden in British society?

We should be proud to be British, celebrating saint days and flying the flag.  Americans do – why not us?

It is also not trendy to be seen as a Christian or being English or British.  Let’s be proud of our nation and history whilst embracing the here, now and future.

Sayings I hate....

What is with the americanism of “can I get….?” – when asking for something in a shop - for example "can I get a coffee?"

Respect

There is little respect around today.
Clothes and things are easy come easy go – always chasing the latest gadget, game, pair of jeans.  Photos never seem to be cherished anymore.

Yeh – times move on, they have to.  But a respect for others should always be the same.  Nowadays kids know more about their legal rights than about their times tables and how to construct a sentence.  Good old fashioned values need to Keep Britain Great.  A please, thank you….. aren’t hard to day.  Why does everyone expect everything to easily land in their lap.  No one seems to hold people in authority with any admiration – teachers, police, firemen, parents.

This easy come easy go, give me want I want now is imploding upon itself and it is very, very ugly.

Come on – let’s leave the nanny state behind and Make Britain Great!

Love Month – the perfect opportunity to show you Love Where You Live

From www.http://www.keepbritaintidy.org

February, the month of love, provides us all with the perfect opportunity to rekindle our love for our street, town, city or village.

Love Where You Live, a national campaign led by Keep Britain Tidy and supported by government, business, local authorities and voluntary organisations, is all about getting people to care about, and take responsibility for, the places in which they live, work and play.

As this year is a leap year, why not take advantage of the extra day in February and use it to show some love to your local area, your street, school, local park or beach.

Make the first move now and visit www.id-love-to-know.org to find out more.
